I am such a matchy-matchy kind of girl. In saying that, I believe I am going to challenge myself to stray from the love of color coordination–not in this post though! Purple has always been one of my favorite colors and it happens to look beautiful on me. I remember a time when I didn’t even wear purple–I avoided it like the plague. Why? Well, I remember having on this purple outfit when I was in middle school and all the mean boys called me Barney. They proceeded to call me Barney all year, even though I’d clearly stopped wearing purple.
I paired this $7 clearance rack Rainbow find with some army green cargo shorts from Avenue that you may remember. I used a purple belt that came with another piece of clothing that I can’t even remember what it is. I love when I buy things months or years apart from each other and they fit together perfectly.
I paired this purple getup with some snakeskin print peeptoes from Avenue. I love animal print! It has this way of adding class and sass to any outfit. This could have been just a plain Jane kind of ensemble, but the sassy snakeskin gives it pizzazz!
Speaking of pizzazz–this candy coated bracelet only set me back $5.99 and pours a splash of color into the most mundane looks. Anyone that knows me, knows I have a thing for color!
Moral of story? Never let anyone’s criticism of you affect who you are and what you love. I was a kid when I let it get to me. As an adult–call me what you will, my love for self surpasses anyone’s love for judgment!
