(Home)Town & Country

Recently, I got the chance to go HOME to Rocky Mount, North Carolina. When you move away from home, there’s a large part of who you are that becomes a bit more distant that you anticipated. So when you can get back, it’s filling.

While I was home, I got a chance to wear my 100% paper hat from Urban Outfitters that I got for $9.99. A few weeks before I got the hat, I found the tie at Goodwill with the very same pattern for $3! I love when that happens. I don’t really know how to tie a tie, so I just wore it as a belt on my one of many $6 cargo shorts a la Avenue. My vest is from Ashley Stewart and it was only $7.

My sandals are Avenue pewter gladiators and my necklace has three red feathers. I’ll do another post where I feature the necklace because I’ve really developed a love for feathers and I think they need their own post. šŸ™‚

I’m glad I got to go back home, where the grass really is greener. An embrace from any of these people gives me enough fire to continue my journey with strength.

There’s a lot of family unpictured & that’s because not everyone in my family loves the camera like I do. šŸ™‚ I’m going home again in October for my brother’s wedding, so I expect to get a lot of photos!
