It’s the time of year again. You know, when a cardigan just doesn’t cut it anymore and a scarf isn’t enough. It’s time for coats! One of my favorite things about winter is a snazzy coat. I’ve always wanted a red coat and when I spotted this puppy at Forever 21’s Faith 21 section, I gagged. I gagged even more at the price–a cool $37.50. Usually peacoats go from $50 plus, so this was definitely a deal for me!
The gray pashmina is from a Canal Street vendor. These things are always super cheap here in NYC–usually you can get a few for under $20. I love tying mine in a bow.
The hat is from H&M. I got it for $12 in the men’s section. I love the two-toned grey & black. And of course the satin ribbon adds a bit of glamour.
People tend to forget about color when it gets cold. Color yourself in coats for this season’s chills. It’ll brighten your day, seriously!
I’m sporting a romper from Rainbow for $5. It’s a little too big for me, so I usually wear it with sweater or cardigan. This one is from Pay Half for $8.Of course I had to add a little pop of color with a red belt.
Frugal Fatshionista Rule #43: Turn your spring/summer looks into fall/winter looks simply by adding tights and a coat/jacket. That’s exactly what I did here. I love romper and wearing them in the winter is so fun, especially when paired with sexy tights. These fishnets were 2 for $12 at Avenue.
What are your favorite coats of the season?
