I’ve said before that blazers are going to be my fall go-to item and so far, that has rang true. It’s such an easy way to dress anything up. They’re definitely making their way into my winter looks too.
I love the preppy look and when I spotted this blazer at Society SAE’s Pop Up Shop and Mingle event, I was drawn in. There were two lovely ladies selling vintage from Pink Safari.
The blazer set me back about $40, which I think is pretty decent for Ralph Lauren Rugby. I’ll admit that when I got it, I had no idea how I was going to style it. I knew that I wanted to keep it simple, but I just didn’t now what colors.
I decided to keep it simple and clean with similar colors from the blazer–navy and beige. I used a beige camisole $7 from Ashley Stewart, dark denim shorts $7 from Rainbow, a red floral scarf (gift from a friend), red patent skinny belt (came with a top), beige fishnets 2 for $12 at Avenue and my thigh-high boots that I live in $56 from Avenue.
I wanted to add the pop of color with the red because it was so plain without the color. I chose red because it pops against the navy. I love mixing the floral print with the preppy look.
Since I am known for being matchy matchy, I wanted to switch it up just a little and threw on my peakcock ring. I love this ring. I got it from Avenue, as I usually do with my rings, for $5! The red earrings with the bronze lines are from a Harlem street vendor for $5.
