Tie Me Up

I could hardly believe my eyes when I spotted an email from http://www.eShakti.com, requesting that I pick a piece from their site to review. Wow! So after days of browsing and asking my some of my girls what they would chose, I ended up picking this blue fitted skirt.

eShakti is a website that is dedicated to tailor making each and every piece for customers size 0-26W and they have even extended their sizes to a 6X! They send you a tape measure with your order, ensuring that your future purchases are a perfect fit!

I paired the bright blue skirt with a grey button up from Rainbow for $5, pink sweater from Lane Bryant on clearance for $10–all coordinating with my Goodwill tie that set me back $3.

I love men’s ties. I think they add such androgynous and sexy vibe to any outfit. I love the colors in this one.

I decided to use a muted grey for my tights so that I could do a coordinating jewel tone for my shoes. I found these patent fuschia flats in Avenue for $20.

All in all, I love the skirt. The color is beautiful and I love the fit. I actually ordered it above the knee and it ended up being knee-length, even when I wear it high-waisted. I may end up getting it hemmed. I fudged the numbers down when I sent in my measurements because I wanted it to fit tight like a pencil skirt. This is what the skirt looks like on the site. I’m so humbled by even having the opportunity to review a product for a website. I hope this is the first time of many!

How would you rock a bright skirt?
