I started this Casual Friday series as an homage to all things comfy and cozy. I don’t wear anything unless I’m comfortable in it, but there are times when you’re just running errands, shopping, chilling at home or a friends or just overall hanging out and you don’t have to be dressed to the nines, but you don’t want to be frumpy. First up…cozy sweaters.
This fuzzy number is another great score from Netta P’s Plus Clothing Swap. It’s from Gap and cost me absolutely nothing but my old clothes that I swapped. The pattern gives me an Aztec kind of vibe.
I paired the sweater with jeggings (Forever 21 $19.90) and a denim button up (Rainbow $5). Very simple and comfortable. I finished the look with red snake print flats (Avenue $18).
I found this black and white vintage Oleg Cassini sweater at a Harlem Pop Up Shop. I recognized the designer from my job–Oleg designs beautiful and ornate wedding gowns. The vintage store was called Pink Safari Vintage. I paid $20 for it. It’s so warm. I love it!
I paired it with black leggings (Forever 21 $5.90) and a black tunic (PayHalf $7). I added my mother’s yellow beret and bumble bee necklace from Forever 21 for $7. I finished it off with my cowboy-esque boots from Avenue ($35).
How do you keep it comfy and casual, but cute?
