Wear Something See Through, So I Can See…Your Heart

When I first spotted this top, I had to have it, although it did kind of scare me and my roomie told me I would look like a crazy Caribbean person at Carnival. But lo and behold, my $5 nylon netted top from Conway turned out to be quite sexy.

I’m loving the idea of something sheer with a blazer or jacket over top. It’s risque, but sexy.

I paired the top with harem pants from Avenue ($10), a pink blazer from some random shop in the Lower East Side on Essex and Delancy for $12.

The blazer is 3/4 length and the top is long sleeves, so I folded the top over the sleeve of the blazer.

I finished the look with a turban, made from a scarf I found on 146th street and 7th ave at a dollar store for $5. To tie in the golds from the scarf, I wore my gold flexi bracelet from St. Maarten for $3.

I definitely wouldn’t rock this on a Valetine’s Day date unless I’d been with the person for some time, but it’d be fun to work this look with a couple other single ladies, painting the town red as to make sure cupid doesn’t miss us next year. 🙂 What are you rocking on Valentine’s Day?
